The Manager – CDI Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for one or more U.S. healthcare CDI programs. This role is accountable for service delivery, client satisfaction, quality, productivity, workforce planning, financial performance, and leadership development while building high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement.
Own delivery performance across Quality, Productivity, TAT, Utilization, SLA, CSAT, and Financial KPIs.
Drive operational excellence, governance, and risk mitigation.
Lead cross-functional execution and account growth initiatives.
Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders, CDI Specialists, Quality Auditors, Trainers, and support teams.
Conduct succession planning, performance reviews, and talent development.
Act as the primary operational leader for assigned clients.
Present executive dashboards, RCA/CAPA, QBRs, and performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with AHIMA, ACDIS, CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10-CM/PCS, and client standards.
Drive audit readiness, IRR, quality calibration, and physician documentation improvement.
Leverage analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve operational performance.
Lead Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
Active, unrestricted USRN license and BSN.
5–7 years of US Healthcare Operations experience.
2–3 years leading CDI or related clinical operations.
Strong knowledge of CDI, MS-DRGs, SOI/ROM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CMS guidelines, and physician documentation.
Excellent leadership, analytical, client management, and communication skills.
• AHIMA - CCS or AAPC - CIC with one of the following: o CCDS
o CDIP
