Your Impact
As a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist, your work helps connect provider documentation, medical coding, and revenue cycle performance in a way that supports both clinical quality and U.S. healthcare operations.
You will support accurate MS-DRG and APR-DRG focused review while helping providers and healthcare teams close documentation gaps.
What You’ll Do
Apply knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to evaluate clinical documents.
Collect medical information from healthcare providers and update medical records.
Verify the accuracy of patient medical information and obtain missing information.
Facilitate and obtain appropriate physician documentation for clinical conditions or procedures to support severity of illness and expected risk of mortality.
Interact directly with physicians to query for more specific documentation and provide documentation guidance from ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards.
Clinically evaluate how the health record translates into coded data, including provider and clinician documentation, lab results, diagnostic information, and treatment plans.
Communicate with providers through discussion or formal written queries about missing, unclear, or conflicting health record documentation.
Educate providers about disease processes that reflect SOI, complexity, and acuity to support accurate application of code sets.
Communicate with healthcare team members to promote accurate and complete documentation of diagnoses and procedures in the health record.
Demonstrate understanding of complications, comorbidities, SOI, ROM, case mix, and the impact of procedures on the billed record, and share that knowledge with providers and healthcare teams.
Gather and analyze information tied to documentation findings and outcomes, then use it to develop process improvement action plans.
Create documentation education classes for general surgery residents to increase the level of reporting and support revenue outcomes.

What You’ll Bring
Must be an RN Nursing graduate or any Medical Allied Course graduate.
Currently holds and maintains at least one certification: active PHRN License or active Medical Coding Certification, CCDS, CCS, CDIP, CIC, CPC, or CRCR.
Any RN with minimum 2 years of inpatient concurrent CDI experience. CCDS or CDIP certification is required.
At least 3-5 years of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist experience.
At least 3-5 years of clinical/hospital experience.
Experience with both MS-DRG and APR-DRG focused review.

The role offers a mid-shift work-from-home arrangement from Ortigas, a competitive salary package up to 120k, Vee Healthtek nontaxable allowances, and HMO on day 1 plus 1 free dependent.
Benefits
HMO Coverage: Day-one HMO coverage with a Php 200,000 maximum benefit limit, plus 1 dependent for individual contributors or up to 2 dependents for managers and above.
13th Month Pay: Employees who work at least one month in the calendar year are eligible for 13th Month Pay, released on or before December 24 and computed according to Labor Code and DOLE guidelines.
Service Incentive Leave: 20 leave credits per year, prorated in the first year based on hire date.
Unused Leave Credit Monetization: Unused leave credits may be monetized at year-end, up to 5 days for individual contributors or up to 10 days for managers and above.
Night Differential: 10% night differential for eligible work hours.
Working Hours: 8 working hours per day, excluding a 1-hour lunch break.
Annual Performance Appraisal: Eligibility is based on individual and company performance.
Other Leaves: Includes applicable statutory leaves such as Magna Carta, Solo Parent, VAWC, Maternity, Paternity, and other legally mandated leaves.
